As Courtney had expected, they were able to have a nice time where the boys enjoyed their time while the sextuplets had fun together. "You know, in all honesty, we may not normally do this, but for the last several months, we've not done any activities really at all," Courtney explains to the camera. Last summer, the Waldrops took to their YouTube channel to update fans on their family and the future of their show — and the update left fans disappointed but sympathetic.
It's not only a special way to wind down the summer, but the last few months of the sextuplets' second year. "In less than four months, the sextuplets will be three years old," Courtney realizes. Courtney is putting her trust in God that everything works out, however.

Birth is, however, barely the tip of the iceberg, as all parents across the world would agree. The primary cast of ‘Sweet Home Sextuplets’ comprises the members of the Waldrop clan. We have the husband-wife duo, Eric and Courtney Waldrop, and their nine children — Blu, Layke, Tag, Rawlings, Rayne, Rivers, Saylor, Wales, and Bridge. Their three older boys and sextuplet babies reside on a sheep farm in small-town Alabama. Parents Courtney and Eric received the surprise of a lifetime when they welcomed six infants when trying for their fourth kid. What happened was in fall 2020, TLC asked Eric and Courtney if they were up for a Season 4.
They have to get a tree, visit Santa and try to keep Christmas special for the kids. In the upcoming season, we will see all the main cast members return, and the challenge will now lie in bringing up all of these kids under the same roof and is bound to present some interesting scenarios. She continued, "And that's hard to say because you guys are the most loyal and precious fans. I can't even thank you guys enough." Considering Season 3 ended in October 2020, fans of the series have been curious whether Sweet Home Sextuplets has been officially canceled or renewed for Season 4.

“But since then, we have not been filming, we have not had any film crews in our house. And we have decided that what’s best for our family right now is to not continue with the show." Eric was shocked to hear the number but he knew that it was important for all the boys to feel like it was their special day too. As a result, he let them invite everyone that they had wanted at the party.
Eric added, "We know it's for the best for our family, and we're very happy right now." As is typical for premature babies, the sextuplets stayed in the hospital's neonatal intensive care unit for weeks until they were strong enough to come home. Rivers and Rawlings were the first to leave the hospital, after 53 days, via Courtney's Facebook page, and the boys were the last to leave at 72 days. But that was only the beginning of the family's ongoing adventure.

Once all the babies were safely home, "Sweet Home Sextuplets" focused on Eric and Courtney Waldrop's everyday challenges as a sudden family of eleven. In addition to their active sons Saylor, Bridge and Wales, they now had six healthy babies who kept them busy with diaper changes, feedings, and demands for attention. The show chronicled everyday challenges like birthday parties, potty training, getting through flu season, and living in a small mobile home while their larger house was being built. The Waldrops also own a small farm with cattle, sheep and chickens, making their schedule nonstop.
There was the younger boys’ room, the older boys’ room, and the girls’ room. The only room that wasn’t finished was the parents’ room. With major home renovations underway, the family of 11 considers moving into a 1,500 square-foot mobile home for the duration of the construction. The move would mean substantially less space for the supersized family, and with the increasingly mobile babies approaching their “terrible twos,” every square-inch matters. And after a tiring day at the Speech Pathologist office and later the dentist office because both Courtney and her son Saylor got braces, Courtney and Eric came up with a fun treat.
School is starting for the boys, and fears of COVID-19 lead Courtney and Eric to consider homeschooling. They also decide to send the sextuplets to a speech pathologist. Courtney and the babies are running late to Kayleigh's wedding because of a dead car battery. The Waldrop family moves 11 people into a 1,500 square foot mobile home during construction -- right before having to cook a Thanksgiving feast for 20 people.
The big boys are treated to a fun getaway, leaving Ramona and Popsie alone with all six babies. The family receives shocking news about their new mobile home. Previously, Eric and Courtney Waldrop had to turn to fertility treatment after their attempts to have a fourth baby had tragically failed due to Courtney suffering from some issues with blood clotting. The couple maintains that after three children, they were just trying for a fourth, but Courtney happened to end up with eight fetuses in the first ultrasound. While two failed before the next sonogram, she successfully delivered the other six.
She brought in her sextuplets two by two into the speech pathologist office. Courtney knows that school and daycare would have helped. Those things have been canceled since the outbreak of the coronavirus and so she and Eric also discussed how they would feel when school reopens.
It was, in fact, the first time in six years in all of Alabama since 2011 that sextuplets were born. In September 2018, viewers were first introduced to Courtney and Eric Waldrop when Sweet Home Sextuplets premiered on TLC. Courtney thought it would be a good decision to save some money as they had been spending a lot on remodeling their house.
With all of them inviting their friends and some of the parents coming in, there were close to 100 people at the celebration. Her friends did think it was a great idea to hire a speech pathologist. One of Courtney’s closest friends grew up with a speech impediment and she said how horrible was growing up that only her mother understood her. They made fun of her and so she would hide behind her mother’s leg not wanting to speak in front of anyone. This friend was therefore a big supporter of a speech pathologist. If the children can receive help now before it gets worse, that would be amazing and so Courtney made an appointment.

Even during the tough times, Courtney said she tried to look at the silver lining when it came to being stuck at home. "Quarantine was hard, but it was good, because it did slow life down," she explained.
